Community Guidelines
Version 2026-09-05 · Last updated September 5, 2026
Pray With Friends is designed for sincere prayer, care, and trusted community. These guidelines apply to prayer requests, updates, circle descriptions, invitations, reports, support messages, and church workspaces.
1. Lead with care
Treat people with dignity. Share requests in good faith, respond without pressure, and respect differences in tradition, experience, and belief. Do not shame, ridicule, manipulate, or target someone because of a protected characteristic or personal hardship.
2. Protect privacy
Share only what you are comfortable placing before the selected circle. Get permission before naming another person or disclosing their health, family, contact, financial, location, or other sensitive information. Do not copy, screenshot, repost, or distribute another member’s prayer outside its intended circle without permission.
An anonymous request hides the author’s name from ordinary members, not from authorized safety reviewers handling a report.
3. Keep people safe
Threats, encouragement of self-harm, sexual exploitation, child endangerment, stalking, coercion, doxxing, and instructions for serious wrongdoing are prohibited. Do not use prayer language to disguise abuse, intimidation, unwanted sexual content, or attempts to control another person.
Pray With Friends is not continuously monitored or an emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.
4. Be authentic
Do not impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent your authority, fabricate emergencies for attention or money, send deceptive invitations, or use the service for fraud. Fundraising, commercial promotion, political campaigning, repetitive solicitation, and spam are outside the purpose of v1.
5. Respect access boundaries
Do not attempt to enter circles without permission, evade removal or blocking, share invitation links with unintended people, scrape member information, or bypass technical restrictions. Church roles apply only within that church and never grant access to personal prayer spaces.
6. Additional church rules
A church may adopt additional conduct rules for its own workspaces when they are clearly communicated and do not weaken these Guidelines, the Terms, privacy protections, or applicable law. Church moderators must act only within their assigned scope and may not edit a member’s prayer text.
7. Reports and enforcement
Use the request menu to report a prayer, member, or circle for privacy, harassment, danger, spam, or another concern. Reports are private and should include only information needed for review. Depending on severity and context, authorized reviewers may take no action, hide or archive content, warn a member, suspend membership, restrict an account, or escalate a case.
Enforcement considers context, severity, history, immediate risk, and the reviewer’s authority. Significant actions are recorded, and eligible decisions can be appealed through Account & privacy → Ideas & support. Pray With Friends may contact appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary to address credible danger or comply with law.
8. Questions
